Project Description

Pella Regional Health Center identified a need for a clinic in Ottumwa, Iowa that could provide family practice, orthopedics, urology, occupational health, and other services. To meet this need, a vacant 11,825 square-foot building, formerly known as REX Appliances Store, became the home of the Pella Regional Health Center/Ottumwa Clinic. Originally built in 1999, the REX Appliances Store underwent significant renovation and remodeling to become a clinic the community needed. The Ottumwa Clinic provides health care and healing services to Ottumwa and its surrounding communities. Reuse of the existing facility also helped to revitalize that area of the town. Since the clinic has opened, there has been an outpouring of support from the people in Ottumwa and the patient list continues to grow.
