2024 AIA Iowa Impact Award WinnersThis program showcases the great impact that AIA Iowa members are having on their communities through architecture. The Impact Awards were created to recognize team members including architects, designers, and other collaborators for an architectural project specifically designed to directly benefit social, humanitarian, community, or environmental issues. 2023 AIA Iowa Design Award Winners These awards recognize excellence in architecture projects which are designed by members of AIA Iowa that emphasize the importance of architecture in our communities. Over 50% of the design of these projects are attributed to an AIA Iowa architect or firm member. Click the red arrow to view the Design Award winning projects.
2023 AIA Iowa Craft Award Winners This program recognizes Iowa craftspeople and / or companies who worked with an AIA Iowa Firm member or an Allied member on a project that demonstrated their particular skill(s) and inventiveness in the execution and incorporation of their craft into our built environment. Architectural icons including Walter Burley Griffin, Louis H. Sullivan, and Frank Lloyd Wright are known as three of the most iconic architects across the world and made a large impact on Iowa. The Arts and Craft movement spread across the Midwest in the early 1900's and Iowa was gifted with many works from these famous architects. Several of these buildings are still standing today.
