Project Description
This project for the Kingsley-Pierson Community School District was designed to highlight the district’s athletic programs and provide opportunities for community use/engagement. Featured spaces include a new competition gymnasium with seating for 1000 and a well-equipped community fitness center.
Several priorities for the project were identified and included hosting district sanctioned competitions, accessibility, user experience and extensive environmental graphics showcasing school pride. Inside the gym is a motorized drop-down American flag donated by the community and panther eye graphics that glow in the dark.
The building’s exterior features large graphics on the high lobby windows and interior wall creating a see-through layered logo effect. Other coordinated exterior signage/graphics, color changing LED spotlighting, and a glowing panther paw logo create a unique destination place for the district and the community.
